How to use the Needle Choosing Aid

Which needle do you choose? That depends mostly on the fabric you are using. If you are making a dress of jersey or a Tshirt or top choose jersey needles. The heavier the fabric, the thicker the needle. Sounds logical don’t you think? It’s not always this easy, because you might not know if you chose a jersey fabric or a stretch fabric. For that purpose we created the spreadsheet Fabrics in Categories. Here you will find all fabrics arranged in categories in alphabetical order. Simply look up your fabric, see what category it is in and then you can make a needle choice in the spreadsheet Needle Choosing Aid. Pointer: you can browse through the spreadsheet using hotkey Ctrl + F or check the menu under Edit – Search and replace. Type the fabric category where your febric is listed andv press “enter” or the button “search”. When pressing “enter” or “search” again you will get the next result
