Sew in interfacing for bridal wear
New types: Bridal canvas made from viscose is the professional interfacing for bridal and occasion wear. Using bridal canvas gives structure and firmness to a top or bodice, without making the wedding dress feel stiff or heavy. That’s why we at Beauty VoF are adding two new types to our range: a firmer variant (fin2) and a softer variant (fin3). Both are made from 100% viscose, brushed on both sides, and non-fusible – meaning they are sewn in. They are also an excellent substitute for coutil
Whether you’re making a wedding dress for a client or sewing your first bridal gown yourself: with the right viscose bridal canvas, you make all the difference in fit and appearance. Order your bridal canvas today:

What makes this viscose bridal canvas special?
100% viscose – also suitable for allergies – Both types are made entirely from viscose, in both warp and weft. This makes them suitable for people with allergic reactions to polyester or wool – a major advantage in bridal wear, where skin contact matters all day long
Brushed on both sides – The brushed texture helps the interfacing adhere nicely to the outer fabric, giving a fuller, warmer feel. The result looks and feels more luxurious as a result

Undyed and AZO-free – The material is undyed and free from AZO dyes. This is not only better for the skin, but also for the resilience of the fibre – the fabric retains its properties longer
A true couture interfacing – Bridal canvas is not ordinary interfacing (vlieseline). It is a woven interfacing with high resilience, as seen in couture and professional ateliers. It is therefore a beautiful and affordable substitute for coutil
Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified – Because both types of viscose bridal canvas meet the Oeko-Tex Standard 100: they have been tested for harmful substances and are safe for skin contact
When do you choose which one?
Choose Fin2 (firm, 260 g/m²) viscose bridal canvas:
- You are making a firm top or bodice that needs to hold its shape well
- For a fuller figure
- Can also be used together with boning
- Works with neckties or plastrons
- When you want a fuller, slightly more robust result
Choose Fin3 (soft, 166 g/m²) viscose bridal canvas:
- You are making a garment with a luxurious, soft drape
- Works best with delicate or lighter outer fabrics
- For more freedom of movement in the finished piece, without sacrificing structure
- Can also be used together with boning
Not sure? Order a sample of both types and do a test with your fabric. That way you’ll know exactly what feels and works best
Processing and care viscose bridal canvas
- Sewing: Sewable, non-fusible. No iron needed to fuse it in
- Ironing: Maximum 150°C (wool setting / 2 dots on the iron), otherwise the canvas may shrink
- Washing: Dry clean only. Machine washing is not suitable due to the specific fibre structure and shrinkage rate
